So excited, this is the first post on our blog. And we take you directly to this amazing city Bangkok. It’s my first time here (Lexie) and right now I’m kinda flashed by all the things I’ve seen so far! You’ll see some of my greatest impressions next to this post.
Although Bangkok has – as almost every city on earth – shadows and dark sites like the big gap between rich and poor and the heavy pollution, the city is stunning. Especially the mix of modern and traditional culture, the colors and the confusing traffic is great. And guys I LOVE Tuk Tuks – have you ever tried one? But be careful to find a good price – most of the time they want far too much of your money for taking you just a few meters. The people here are quite friendly and polite as long as you are friendly as well – big thank you to a police officer who has planned our first day here 🙂 Keep to the locals and you’ll get the best prices and hints for a great trip trough colorful Bangkok!
Some helpful sentences you should know when traveling to Thailand (Bangkok):
– Sa wad dee (Means: Hello!)
– Pang pai ( Means: “To expensive – new price?” – say it several times to get the best price ;))
– Kop koon ka (women)/Kap (men) (with a long “a” – Means: Thank you)
So that’s it for the moment, you’ll hear more soon!
Have a great day and safe travels
As usual: feel free to ask if you want to know something special about Bangkok and our time here 😉
